My company, OffTheGRiD mobile catering- has been violated by CFB, and its owners Zach Singleton and Larry Lowman.

We paid in full over $150k in the production of 4 seperate vehicles/prices of equipment.  Over 6 months later (way behind schedule)- half of our project is still missing, with no end/solution in sight.  The 2 vehicles we did finally receive, are poorly made- and NOWHERE CLOSE to what was designed and agreed upon!

After we met, and where convinced (that they where capable) by Larry and Zach of CFB- we read about the extensive papertrail of these guys.  I WISH WE KNEW SOONER!  They where definately incapable of completing our project to our satisfaction, and still owe us 2 vehicles, and tens of thousands of dollars in refunds.
Contact me at ciaporkchop@msn.com for pictures and full disclosure of our nightmare.  EVERYTHING IS SUFFICIENTLY DOCUMENTED.

DO NOT LET THESE GUYS TALK YOU INTO THINKING THEY CAN DO YOUR CUSTOM WORK!  I am only one victim of MANY!  Don't be the next

11/23/2012 I drove from SC to GA and that morning I called from the hotel and stated I would be there at noon to pick it up. I arrived and it was not ready. The propane holder was not installed. The steps weren't even built. I was told the wrong size ball to bring. The hanging chains from the trailer to my blazer were too long so I shot sparks for 6 hours in the dark across states line. I had inquired prior to coming about the SC transit tag law and was told I would be provided with one, which I wasn't. The sway bar and stabilizer kit that I paid an extra $760 and waited weeks for was not installed. In fact they didn't even have it.  Prior to purchasing this cart I asked if my vehicle could pull the trailer and gave them the make and model and was assured there would be no problem. Wrong. I was unable to get over 50 mph and it was smelling of oil and apparently did damage to the motor of my blazer. I had to get rid of it and go buy a truck. I was giving no manuals for the fryer or char broiler or any equipment. I spoke with web restaurant about their tag on the front of the char broiler and even sent a picture. They stated it was a fraudulent tag and did not match their model numbers. Also the overhead range does not work. I spoke with their mechanic on the phone and it appears they didn't bother putting wire nuts on, they just electrical taped it together. So I am going to have to hire an electrician to fix the problem. I was also told at the time of purchase that when I picked up my trailer there would be a training session on running the equipment and getting into the business of concession. I received nothing but ending up leaving in the dark having never pulled anything behind me, threw the twisty mountains. I am still not able to start work and lost my opportunity to vend at our Farmers Market because of the hood.
I have phone call records  and e-mails and still they have not refunded my money, they have not provided me with support like promised and I have a bad product that is not running yet. I am very dissatisfied  with this company and will not recommend them to anyone.

    1st food trailer
I just took delivery of a 1 year old trailer that CFB built. I can't believe they do this for a living. Bad layout! They have the water fill 6 inches from the serving window, water tank and grey water tank in the inside of the trailer with no set up for direct water hook up and no hose fitting to drain, it just drains on the other side of the serving window.
The wiring my 13 year old could have done a better looking job.
I guess this 1st week will be redoing the plumbing and water tanks, and have a blind man with no arms do a better wiring job.
I'm disappointed in their work and can't believe that they felt good letting this leave their lot looking like this.
DON'T BUY OFF THE WEB unless you have seen what a company can do. Ask other food truck people what they think, most are excited to talk about their trailer/truck.

It has been a problem from the first day.  Trailer is poorly constructed. The axle was not rated for the load bearing weight of the trailer and bent in  transit to us and had to be replaced.
The problems are endless and still going on with no resolution from zach or Larry.
Promises made at times and never kept, phone called and emails never answered. Stay away from this company and these people as they are not who you want to get involved with.
