We bought England furniture from York Furniture Gallery in Rochester NY in February. Upon delivery on May 18th, we noticed that the fabric was very stiff. We found out that it had been backed with a 'rubberized' stabilizer', which wasn't on the store sample and made the furniture very uncomfortable. There were also several tailoring issues. On May 20th we returned to the store with our orignal fabric sample and one of the cushions. It was clear that York wanted no part of our issues. It was now between us and the manufacturer (so much for customer service) they said. A sales clerk's solution to our problem was for us to have our grandchildren bounce on the cushions to soften them up for the next 20 days. Why 20 days? It is now nearly 120 days later and, after many phone calls back and forth, England says they will do nothing because the fabric 'is not defective'. We're still getting the run-around from York. There is no indication that they intend to stand behind their product. Do NOT buy England brand products and do NOT buy anything from York Furniture Gallery!
