Lid Breakage

Yeah, everyone is having the same problem. Yet Whirlpool is hiding and keeping quiet about the fact that they and their engineering division were asleep at the wheel on this one. A simple stainless steel bracket that would transfer the load further down the lid and reduce the pressure at the corner would cost about $10 bucks and take a service tech half an hour to install. Oh, hold it! then they wouldn't be able to sell us $260.00 lids over and over again. Whirlpool used to mean quality and dependability, not anymore!! Keep that in mind when you go to buy your next appliance and tell all your friends and neighbors..........That's how you bring about change!
