ConnecTech charges you $15.00 a month to have access 24/7, 365 days  a year for computer tech support.  You cannot receive the support when you call, they want to charge you the fee again at each call, and you cannot get a technician to service your system.  Every time I call it is an hour on the line, a run around, and no one will listen.  DO NOT AGREE TO THIS SERVICE.  This is a rip off and you do not receive the support.

Please read the reviews before you purchase this product!  I thought, because it was AT&T, it would be a good bargain. I signed for $ 15.00 an hour in December 2011. Over the course of the next 5 months, I spent over 40 hours on the telephone with people who NEVER fixed the computer. Most of the conversations lasted over 4 hours. Every time I called them, we had to go through the whole situation over again. Finally my daughter called them. After SEVEN hours, we could not even connect to the internet.

Dell had to reformat my entire harddrive to get it working again. When I called AT&T, the gave me a number to call Connec Tech. Connect Tech wanted to charge me $ 88.00 early cancelation fee. They said they did not cover damage to my harddrive. There was NO damage to my harddrive.

Connect Tech is not actually AT&T. Please read the reviews. The techs work out of their home and are obligated to work on at least two customers at one time. They are told to complete the service in one hour. So, again, please read the reviews before you purchase this useless service.

I joined this service in February or March, 2012. I am now of the opinion I should not have joined. Plan is ConnecTech Plus for 1 yr, autobilld $15/mo on cr cd. My problem did get solved. Tech was good!  Waited approx 15 min for a tech; took about 45 min to solve problem. Problem now is I had to cancel cr cd due to some other unauthorized charges not having anything to do with ConnecTech. I have registered my acct online at ConnecTech's site & updatd it to new cr cd. Still keep receiving emails that payment has failed; called ConnecTech's support line & the tech could not find that I had registered online or enterd new cr cd for autopay. He wanted me to key in the new cr cd on phone pad #s and kept acting like he did not understand it was already in the acct online. He finally said he understood, still wanted cr cd # entered on phone pad keys. He gave me a direct phone # & I hung up to chk my acct on ConnecTech's site. All info was in my acct. Today am trying to get pd using my acct on their website. Have tried unsuccessfully to link ConnecTech acct to my ATT accts. Have had to spend way too much time on this situation!

Do Not Buy This Service!!!!! They can't solve problems.  They are just of little value.  If you have a big problem, they can;t solve it.  I just wanted to connect a security system through my 2Wire3801HGV.  They cant do it.

When you purchase a computer, if you don't know about basic computer maintenance, check with your library for free computer classes. I live in a very small town with one library and they have 4 weekend classes that are available to the public for free. If they aren't available for free or for a low price, check the community college and take a class or two. Whatever they charge for a class will definitely be cheaper than paying for a yearly service for a phone call.

Don't rely on your internet provider to maintain your computer. You didn't buy the computer from them. Would you call the cable company to repair your television? NO!

Maintain anti-virus and firewalls on your computer, there are good ones available for free but if you are a novice at computers, purchase a yearly subscription service and make sure your anti-virus/anti-malware software is being updated and is scanning your computer weekly at minimum. If your computer needs repairs, ask your teenager, your niece or nephew, or a college kid first and if they can't repair it, go to a local computer repair store.

It is YOUR responsibility to maintain your computer.

This service is a JOKE!  I have been a sucriber for over 12 years, and the last year they have not been able to fix ANYTHING!  Last week I contacted them with a computer locking up problem within a week I had contacted them 5 more times with the same problem! YES! EVERY DAY!  Yesterday, i signed up with PC MATIC! they fixed the problem in 1  30 Minute session!  ATT thinks they are the big boy's on the block and people should serve them! so they hire those Over the pound water who can only read a script! and in you interupt the doe eye you have thrown him off base and he has to start all over again! Their people are UN-ABLE to think for themself!
