My boyfriend and I decide to sing up for the personal training program at LA Fitness here in GA. Briana, the lady who sing us up for the program stated that it will be a FOUR MONTHS program and we have to come two time per week and that after that if we like it we can keep on going and that if we don't we can cancel at any time and that the only thing we needed to do to cancel is to just let them know ahead of time so they can stop the withdraw payments... SURPRISE! We try to cancel it because we just see its a waste of money, and we also have new car and we will be moving from apartment soon, so we decide that we can use that extra money to try to pay for those things first. Now, the trainer was great, but again, we wanted to use that money for something else. My boyfriend call the Corporate to cancel because that is what the manager told us to do and one of the representatives there he was very rude and stated that we sing up for a 12 months contract and that if we want to cancel we have to pay a $800.00 dollars fee! Like WTF?!  Like how a FOUR MONTHS get into a TWELVE MONTHS program! I try to look for a solution using the web, but I had found out that WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT LA FITNESS HAS SCAMMED! so be aware of and just don't go to LA Fitness.

There are some common tactics that often show up with contract fraud.
What did your contract say?  4 months, or 12 months?
Did the sales perp say one thing and then get you to sign a contract that said something different?
Was the contract only verbal, with nothing on paper signed?
Was the contract on some computer, "signed" "electronically" by clicking "OK"?
Did they attempt to divert you from reading before signing?
Did they point you to signing and initializing particular lines, but leave blanks on others, such as the term of the contract, so it could be filled in later?
Did they fail to give you a copy of the contract at the time of signing?
Did they say that a contract copy would be sent to you, but it never was?
Did you get a copy of the contract that differed from what "corporate" is claiming?
Were pages missing In the contract copy you were given?
