Upgrade or phone exchange

I got a blackberry curve in Sept 09. I thought the phone was ideal for what I needed it for. I then got accepted into Nurse Practitioner School, and realized I needed my phone a great deal. We are required to download several medication references. We need to be able to pull up those meds on a moment notice. Well, that has been a challenge for me considering it is difficult to work the small keys, with speed and accuracy. The situation is embarrassing to say the least. Well, being a loyal sprint customer for 10 plus years,and never being deliquent on my bills.. I thought they would be more than happy to help me with my problem. I was only asking if I could exchange ort upgrade my phone.
Well, due to the fact the blackberry curve is new and I used my upgrade. I was told there is nothing that can be done to help. I either cancel my contract for 190.00 or pay 269.00 to get a ipod touch. Even worse I was told I could pay full price for a new phone which is 499.00 and extend my contract. I was so disappointed in sprint. I must ADMIT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS TERRIBLE.
