These guys are hacks. 10 hang ups in 21 days? Make sure that this amounts to 10 complaints to your local AG. They seem to be 'AG shy' and will run and hide when the AG complaint shows up.
Courts can also award attorney fees if you win, so there are attorneys who take these cases on contingency. You can find a consumer attorney in your state through www.naca.net
FTC has sued several large debt collectors, for violating FDCPA, and in particular for engaging in harassing collection and attempting to collect alleged debts from people who didn't owe them.
The debt collectors have generally settle quickly.
