The Bad experience in brief
It all started with very late arrival of the truck . It arrived at 3 pm in stead of 8 am in the morning. They were in great hurry and did not pack the items properly which led to damage of many items. Even the packing materials were of poor quality (in sharp contrast to the much touted special packing of your company) . The cartons provided by you were very thin and weak even worse than what I had collected from the grocery store.
The Loading and setting of the items were hasty . The leg of the tin utensil box got broken as they dragged it on the truck (ask Mr. Sandeep who came) . Since packing was poor and setting on the truck was improper there were dents on the Godrej steel almirahs , almost all furniture items got scratched ,bruised and damaged. The loading was over at 11 PM and my I missed the train I was to board at 8 pm and had to go by car entailing extra expenditure of about Rs.5000/-.
The tapes were pasted directly on the furniture making it impossible to remove and necessitating fresh polishing . Many glass items were broken which we knew after unpacking the cartons.
The unloading team at Bhubaneswar were telling that proper loading was not done at Raigarh..
I do not know what arrangement you had with him but the owner of the truck harassed me by requesting over phone (some 20 times he called ) to agree unloading at night of 21st. I felt as if I have got into some bad deal contacting Agrawals for my relocation.
The team leader of unloading/unpacking team at BBSR told that an officer will come for survey. Even Mr Jasvir of BBSR and MR. Roshan of Raipur assured that the damaged items will be surveyed and compensated but nobody has come to my house at Bhubaneswar where the unloading was done till today i.e. 16.05.16.
As you will appreciate that repaired items can never be like unscathed or new ones. Please review the whole matter for the good of your customer and your company's future.
