Early this month (Dec.) I was foolish enough to take a credit card payment for a $6682 ATV I sold an older man here in Northern Illinois, using my new Square card reader.
Was I a fool!!
Square is now with holding my money, saying they need me to 'verify' my account, although i had taken several other payments in the past month or so using this same method. As other people have said here SquareUp is keeping our money even though we have already "signed up" with them and their T.O.S. states that when you swipe a credit card (as opposed to taking the payment over the phone) they are supposed to transfer the funds DIRECTLY into your bank account.
Looking for a good way to take payment from people? Then have them send you cash in the mail or fly it to you on a frikkin' pigeon, because you at least stand a chance iof not getting ripped off.......BUT IF YOU DEAL WITH SQAUREUP.COM YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A FOOL.
On Monday I am going to call my attorney, the California Attorney General's office and the FBI to see if I can get them to do something about this crooked company.
As far as Sqaure's 'customer service it is non-existent.
