My husband purchased a MayTag washer less than three years ago. We have had it serviced twice already and now it has broken again. I had a horrible time trying to get any kind of help out of MayTag. When we had it repaired the second time it was just past the 1 year warranty and they finally agreed to have the machine repaired, after much complaints from me. Now seven months later it is broken again. So now I am faced with getting the machine fixed or buying a new machine, because MayTag said there is nothing they can do. "Because these machines are put together by humans and of course they are not all the same" This was the comment that I just received from the MayTag customer service superviser when I asked why this machine repeatedly needed repair.
I would not recommend buying MayTag. The customer service is not helpful and the machines are not good quality.

looking to buy a Magtag washer DONT DO IT. We purchased our on 1/26/09 and we are currently waiting for the 4th drum/bearing assembly to be replaced. It is on back order until 5/13/2011. We have been waiting since 4/1/2011. We called Maytag and basically got the too bad for you. I was informed that since we purchased the extended warranty that it is not their problem anymore. It is the problem of the service company. I asked several times why they did not back their name, and the CS rep. made it perfectly clear it was not their issue.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Customer Service and even worse product!!!
