Country: United States
Seller:AA Auto Warranty Purchased on 11/13/2008 Agreement#FD4220951
2002 Dodge Ram 1500 182,000 EST mileage.36 Month Coverage
On Aug 26,2009, LD Walker Transmission of West Columbia, SC for Trasmission repairs. Cirect Warranty Services denied the claim due incidental and consequential damage is not covered. Servo Band and Reverse Drum was also broken. along with the drive support. The warranty states that BANDS and DRUMS on transmission are covered. Asked supervisor in claim department to review my claim due to the stated coverages onThis product warranty is not an exclusionary program but an inclusionary one. It states in the agreement that any component not listed as a Covered Component is not covered.
THIS IS THE FINAL EMAIL I GOT FROM HIM
The terms ‘bands’ and ‘drums’ are not general at all. A transmission may have multiple bands and drums that are considered covered. However, if damaged by a non-covered component the incidental and consequential damage incurred is not covered.
I have attached, for your benefit, information from Alldata concerning both parts that are in question. There are representations of both bands and servo pistons (accumulator pistons) so that you can verify that each component is individual of each other. This information is from a nationally published labor guide.
The attached/included picture in your last email will be taken as an implied threat and all communication from this point forward will cease. Claims Services has answered your questions fully and your claim will remain denied based on the diagnostic information submitted by your repair facility. Any continued threats received may be reported to your local authorities.
Thank you again for your email.

THE WARRANTY STATES ALL BANDS AND DRUMS although it was not specfic what BANDS OR DRUMS ARE COVERED.
WHEN I BOUGHT THIS WARRANTY FROM AA WARRANTY, I WAS LIED TO ABOUT THE COVERAGES ON THE WARRANTY. WHEN YOU BUY A WARRANTY, IT IS FOR PEACE OF MIND
KNOWING IF THINGS GO WRONG WITH YOUR AUTO,, IT WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF.
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION, THEY WOULD OF
FOUND SOMETHING ELSE TO DENIE THE CLAIM. THE SUPERVISOR WAS VERY RUDE IN HIS E MAILS , DUE TO THE FACT I REQUESTED MY ATTORNEY TO TALK TO HIM.
IT COST $1800.00 TO FIX THE TRASMISSION AND IT IS SITTING AT THE TRANSMISSION SHOP AWAITING A PAYMENT. I FEEL AFER RESEREACHING THIS WARRANTY COMPANY , THIS IS A SCAM AUTO COMPANY THAT NO MATTER WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR AUTO, IT WILL BE DENIED. PLEASE GET THE MESSAGE OUT, AUTO WARRANTIES ARE WORTHLESS

They just want your money and they won't pay for your claims.
You have to sue them to get the claim paid.
