We have received several bills due to using *69 to try to find out the number that was continually calling.  This is a business so someone always had to answer the phone only to have it go to a busy signal. What a SCAM!!!!!

A complaint is being filed today with the office of the North Carolina Attorney General.  These people have attempted to scam us a few years ago, and we went involved the Attorney General immediately, recognizing that this is a scam.  It still is!U8

We received a bill in November for $11.94.  The bill was the first I had received and did not indicate what it was for.  I called the company and after talking to Jaun talked to a woman named Gwen.  She said the calls were to 900 numbers, gave me the date and the time.  I was working on that date and at that time.  The house was empty.  When I said I never used 900 numbers she then said "oh, the bill was for information".  I again said that I was not home, was working at that time.  She said she would remove the bill from their data base.  On December 26th I received a second notice which was very threatening in tone.  I AM NOT PAYING THIS BILL!

I'm not paying my bogus Champion Communications bill either.   You can tell by the cheap paper and print quality of their bogus bill that someone is just running a scam company out of their home hoping they can find someone stupid enought to send  a check to their P.O. box.

    P.S.
If you send them a check, you just sent them your bank and check number.   Now they have even more info on you to start an identity theft con on you.

The best thing to do is to throw the bill away and don't even contact them.  If you contact them, you are just verifying your name, phone number and address.  Once they get you to respond,  they can start running other scams on you.
