unsolicited call and harassment

I received a call asking if I want to lower my interest rate on my credit card, if so to press #1.  When I did a man came on the line and said he was from credit card services and because I had good payment history they would lower my rate to 6.9%   At first it sound ok but then I began to get suspicious after I was transfered to different account managers.  We even go to the point they were going to call the Credit Card company and negotiate the rate for me.  I found out they were not with my credit card company and said I did not want to do this.  Long story Short they would not disconnect the call.  I hung up and they were still on the line.  My husband finally called 911 on his cell phone and they stilled stayed on the line.  The man said " woo calling 911 doesn't scare me they can't do anything to me because I am just trying to save you money"  They were going to charge us $1295 for this service and if we did not do it they would send us to collections.  I ended up cancelling two credit card that they had partial information on and filing a police report.  DO NOT TAKE CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE!!  It is a scam. They did finally hang up once we had 911 on my husbands cell phone.  They got rude and nasty with me.  It was bad.
