This is still going on today! My husband got the call last summer and had no idea. Just heard something about 1000$ prize... later I called them back to cancel and they said it was non-cancellable!! Who do they think they are!?!! This is crazy. Apparently we're in it for 2 years... lately I've been getting so upset about it. I think I will try to call and cancel again or just have my husband cancel his account. Definitely will report to BBB. I can't believe they have not been shut down yet. I am worried to just cancel his bank account though.. but it seems that is the only way.

in most cases like this, closing and changing your account number and cc number is safest and most secure way of never letting them get in there again.....it's a hassle but this is the New Obama world he has gotten us into. Everyone is scamming for money and anything goes! Not Our America of 20-30 years ago is gone. It's about getting what you can from anyone without concience or honesty of any kind and it's going to get much worse if there is another 4 years of this "take America down" policy

There is no money to get the honest way anymore and people want money! period! No job's and soon you will be having to bar your windows on your home just from your neighbors if you have food or something they need. People need to realize this is slowly slipping away peice by piece.....and no one stands up and does anything but complain. Time to get your protection while you can and try to survive through this mess we're in. "Change you can believe in".....haaaaaaa......you asked for it , you got it!

They are a fraudulent magazine subscription telemarketer, using this "$1000 spending spree" BS to lure you into disclosing account information.  Once they have it they will claim you "agreed" to some inflated multi-year "contract" that is "non-cancellable".

It's all BS.  They lie and misrepresent their "offer" then change it after getting your account information to steal whatever they want.

Tell them to f*ck-off, block your card number or close your account to prevent theft and fraud, and file fraud compalints with FTC and your state AG.
