I'm sooo stupid I never buy anything online nor do I give my debit card# out so this time I thought I might try SEATTLE COFFEE well I now have 4bags of coffee I don't want and they said my acct was cancelled well they lied the day I cancelled it a charge was added to my debit card of $39+ I don't know how companies like this are allowed to stay in business when there are so many complaints I guess I should have read alittle more before I gave my info I learned my lesson and should stick to my gut feelings

    Lots of companies like this are in business.  It takes YEARS of complaints, and action by a state AG or FTC, to have any effect on such scams.

    You can easily find many similar complaints against this company.

    Immediately dispute the unauthorized charges with your bank, and close the account to prevent future fraudulent charges.  

    Do NOT count on any promise to cancel your order.  These types of companies often promise anything, even give "confirmation numbers", but just keep taking  money.  Once they have your account information, only honesty would stop them.

    Dear Jeff,
    I also feel "Scammed" by Seattle Coffee Direct. When I signed up for the initial take 5 for $5 offer nowhere on the ordering page tells the actual charge. There is a sentence that says "See Details and Terms" but nowhere on the "join" page is Details and terms. None of the links at the top of the page: Our Coffees, Join, My Account, About Us, or Contact us has the See Details and Terms listed. When I joined there was nothing indicating that I would be charged other than the 5 for $5 and Free Shipping. I did call the number provided on the site asking why I was receiving several bags of coffee that I did not order. I was told that my "membership" would be canceled and I would be refunded for bags that are returned. The Join page is deceptive and just plain wrong! Who in their right mind would pay $38.95 for 24 ounces for mediocre coffee that I can grind myself at the grocery store for less than $7.00?? I will be disputing my charges with my credit card company and will be telling everyone I can to stay away from Seattle Coffee Direct!! This company should be ashamed of itself ripping off honest consumers.

    I have received 2 charges from a company that obviously works with Seattle Coffee direct and a Publication company that have billed me for $79.00 each without any autorization.  I have tried to call companies phone number without being able to get through or being able to get a call back.  The numbers are 1-888-217-2233 and 1-888-624-2877.  I will be taking every legal action to get this poor business practice out of business and get my money back.
