In april or May last year, two techs came out to our home to install DTV. Some ten hours later, they finished, only to tell us us that they had busted a pipe and attempted to fix it. When the seasons changed, we noticed that there was dampness and mold appearing on the walls. Our landlord didnt know where this could of come from. After many friends and landlord probing we came to the conclusion that this started from excess moisture from under the house. DingDingDing!!! SeptOct we went under the home to find a muddy mess to see the new PVC pipes added and where still a leak persist. I called DTV to report a claim. Landlord had to confrimed the leak. Since then several people restoration companines and even a DTV rep came out and all confrimed that it came from to neglect of the installers. It ruined almost everything in my home : stored clothes, all fabics, linens, blanket, front closet item, dress clothes, two bunk beds. There was mold on everything. I mean a coating of mold. Green fur on furniture, toys. It covered everything. So we closed and forbid the kids to go in thier rooms and kept the door closed. Wow that only made it worst (mold loves dark cold places). Soon after there was condensation on the outside walls, sweat dripping from the ceilings onto everything alreadt molded and into the childrens electronics( T.V. sewing machine and new computers. I mean, my sons action fiures looked as if they were in full body cammo with all the mold.We sinced moved, but we have nothing now. Still we wait for the folks at DIRECTV to resolve this problem that they started. Please send help or suggestings to savoyp01@yahoo.com
