Refund for canceled flight

I canceled a flight reservation, with no monetary implications in April. In June, I called cheapOair and was advised that my cancellation was never verified and they would submit for reimbursement and expect payment within 2-3 days. It is now July, and after speaking with 4 Representatives, been disconnected 2x and transferred 3x, I was advised that they have escalated my cancellation and to wait 24-48 hours to hear from a Rep about next steps. This is utterly ridiculous. I will NEVER use cheapOair services and will never recommend their services.
