Broken Belt not replaced
Complaint

I had purchased a belt at a premium outlet mall in California. However, it seems that the buckle was bad quality and few months later the buckle broke. I wrote to customer service and they asked me the details. Unfortunately, I had purchased with cash and did not retain the receipt (Who anyways retains the receipts for more than a few days). I was asked to visit the store where it had been purchased. I stay in India and I informed them the same.
Fortunately, I was travelling to California and made it a point to revisit the store and show them the broken belt. They verified that it was a genuine Armani belt. However, they were not able to locate the purchase made on the system!!!. They informed me that the belt has been purchased in Lithuania!! They were polite but not helpful.
Since then I have been pursuing with customer care and it has been 7 months. No resolution to my issues. I visited other stores and informed them about the issue and they said that would they have replacement, they would do it immediately without any questions asked.
It seems that internal systems of inventory are messed up in Armani. Maybe they are also moving around bad quality products into outlet malls (though they still charged me a bomb for this belt) and dont disclose it on the system. Maybe cash payments are not recorded on the system and hence they dont have a way of tracing since they dont report it to the tax authorities.
Would never purchase Armani products and also advise all fellow customers not to do so. You will not get service and in case of problems forget it!!
