This guy called me as well, I actually was afraid and gave him my acct info.. Should I have not done tht? Now I wanna call and cancel the payment arrangements and inform my bank tht I wanna switch acct numbers.. What should I do?

    This is an illegal "debt collection" shakedown racket.
    It violates numerous state and federal laws, such as FDCPA.
    If they can't prove the alleged debt is owed, and if they are using threats to convince you not to dispute, then you have to suspect the debt, or their claim you owe it to them, may be fake.

    Just contact your bank and have your account blocked to prevent fraud.
    If they have already made charges to your account, obtained from you by deception and illegal threats, then dispute the charges with your bank as fraudulent, just like you would any other phishing scam.

    Contact FTC.  They have sued several debt collectors running the same type of shakedown racket in California.
