Woman on phone insisted we had an account with them.  We do not.
Number comes up as Private Caller.  
We are on the Do Not Call List.

    They are reported to be a fraudulent magazine subscription telemarketer.

    These scams generally attempt to con people into sigining up for what sounds like some great subscription deal, then change the terms after they get your card or account number, claim those were the terms you agreed to, and try to extort the inflated amount out of you.

    They may also screw up and give such lousy service (no magazines sent, or even the wrong ones, deliberately) they con you into paying a "terminatino fee" just to get out of this frauduelnt "contract".

    Falsely claiming you "had an account with them" may be the opening line in trying to "renew" some subscription you actually have directly with some magazine publisher, or they may be starting on the above con.

    Trying to hide their number is consistent with deliberate Do Not Call violation, as well as fraudulent telemarketing.
