What a scam notebook from Dell paid too much on a refurbishedfor a 499 comnputer I ended paying over 700 and why cause they are preying on the small people. The computer is not compatible with nothing since its a Window Vista

    i have a new hp desktop with vista. to get certain older xp software programs and hardware such as old printers etc, etc, to work with vista you have to download "patches" from the manufactures or software websites. yes its a pain, i've been thru it. i done this several times. once the patches are downloaded the program or hardware will work. but you have to make very sure you download the correct patch. this should be the same for a laptop.as for dell i believe they are overrated. hp sales far acceed dell. sorry, i know this does not help your problem.

    Why in the world did you buy it then if you thought the price was too much.  Ever here the term "buyer beware?"
