They keep harassing my son
Complaint
Madlyn Creekmore
Country: United States
I do not have a phone and this debt has already been written off by the original lender. PRA keeps calling my son who is disabled and is not able to handle these calls. I do not live with my son and request these people cease and desist harassing my son. If they want to contact me they can contact me by mail.

There is no reason for them to be harassing your disabled son over a debt they know he does not owe.
FDCPA prohibits debt collectors from engaging in harassment, abusive collection, or disclosing debts to parties other than the alleged debtor. If problems with harassment continue, your son should contact an attorney with experience in FDCPA litigation. FDCPA allows courts to award statutory and actual damages, as well as attorney fees if your son prevails, so he may be able to find an attorney to take such cases on contingency.
If you have further problems, contact CFPB.
