Lied to by sales staff

I joined LA Fitness and signed up for personal training after I was told by a member of the sales staff that I could cancel my personal training contract at no cost once I moved more that 25 miles away from the gym. I was told this at least 4 times by two different members of the sales staff. Now I am moving and I called to cancel and I am being told this is completely untrue and the only thing I can do is buyout the remaining 10 months of personal training (they told me I should sign up for 1 year because I would get the low rate and I could cancel when I moved).

When I called corporate a VERY rude woman told me it didn't matter what I was told by the sales staff that they has my signature and I had to pay for the remaining contract. I was nearly in tears by the time I got off the phone.

SCAM SCAM SCAM! Stay away. I used to love this gym; but they will say anything to get your money true or not.
