I placed an order for several books and CDs at India Today website, I paid online but never received my package. I tried to contact them via email and even mailed them my inquiry but they didn't respond.

    My reference no is MITBC-WEB-229596. I ordered for 4 books on 26 june. I have not yet received the order. Their phone lines are either busy or they don't pick up and they don't response to mail.

    On 3rd july 2007 I've bought 4books from India today book club and paid Rs.1090 by credit card. My order number is MITBC-WEB-329480. They had send me a acknowledgement mail mentioned that I'ld receive the order within 2-3 weeks from that day. But already 2 months have passed and there is nothing from their side not even reply. They don't reply mails or not even the phone calls.
    So what the way to get return of my payment?

    Had received an offer through email from Citibank Cards to buy 2 books and get 6 more bestsellers at just Re1 and 1 year membership for India Today Book Club FREE. I made the online payment on 24/04/2007 but have not received the books till date-18/09/07. My mail to their query id : order@indiatodaybookclub.com. has yielded no Response.

    Hi, I had opted for this offer which clubbed harry potter book with three other books. Harry potter was supposed to be priced at Re 1/-. I have received the other three books but not harry potter. I think this venture is just meant to con people out of their money. Beware!

    Hi, I also opted, like a lot of us here, for the offer of 6 bestsellers @ Re 1 each + 1 year's membership free... paid by card online (Booking No. MITBC-WEB-492108) an have heard nothing since!

    The funny thing is that the promo mail was from IRCTC! Wonder what these guys are up to!!

    Same here guys...ordered couple of CDs worth 1090/- through credit card sm weeks back. Not recieved any till now...looks like a fraud after reading above all mails :(
    Bure fanse yaar...Do any one know if we can get our money back based on fraudelent transactions b'coz it's paid by credit card?

    I HAD PLACED AN ORDER THROUGH INTERNET, FOR SIX ROMANCE CLASSICS WITH A FREE ADIDAS BAG FOR A TOTAL PRICE OF RS. 666 WITHOUT INCLUDING THE SHIPPING CHARGES.MY REFERENCE NO. WAS 876104 AND MY ORDER ID WAS MITBC-WEB-545991. INSPITE OF THESE DETAILS I AM NOT BEING ABLE TO LOG IN AT YOUR WEBSITE. I HAD ALSO CALLED YOUR CUTOMER CARE IN DELHI ITSELF BUT THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME MY MEMBERSHIP NO. WHICH I MAY REQUIRE IF I WANT TO ORDER MORE BOOKS. I AM ALSO NOT ABLE TO VIEW THE STATUS OF MY ORDER .

    Its true that these india today book club people cannot manage there orders neither they have the capacity to runa  customer care service..Sick of india today customer care wherein noone bothers of the customers..and this is so called "India Today " group..i never knew such a big brand name will be doing a big online fraud wherein it neither respects the customers  neither it is bothering to listen to theior problem and inspite of all COLLECTING MONEY ONLINE AND THEN NOT DELIVERING THE ORDER ON TIME..ITS BEEN A MONTH;S TIME AND TILL NOW I HAVE NOT RECD THE ORDERS AND CUSTOMER CARE PEOPLE TELL ME SOME OTHER ORDER OF MINE TILL NOW WHICH I HAVE NEVER PLACED....how Rubbish....
    ITS HIGH TIME THAT  STRICT ACTION TO BE TAKEN AND BAN THESE PEOPLE FROM DOING ANY KIND OF BUSINESS

    Last month in the december 2007 i had placed one order 2 books and one adidas bag worth rate of 199/- after transaction through my redit card they had given one mail saying it will be deliverd to your address with in 3 weeks up to now i did't recived any books from them

    i had sent a mail to them but no responce from that people

    that means is this fack company
    how we can get our order

    I have also placed order for the promotion offer(mail came through IRCTC), which had 2 music CDs, one adidas bag and 1 year free membership for Rs.199/-. Credit card payment through online was made.

    Its been more than 3 weeks, no response till now.

    Even I received an offer through IRCTC, placed order for 2 CDs and a Bag (Order#MITBC-WEB-0574475), but never received.. if you you phone them each time you get a different story to hear.

    I think these guys are making us fool..

    thanks a lot harish...i too was about to place an order at the indiatoday book club for the same offer(re1/- for 4 best sellers) but i lost that page during browing. so i put a search for the page and i came across this page. after reading the message i am really thnkful that i did not go ahead with the order. and i am thankful to you as i saw ur message and was warned.

    Hi everyone,

    I had also placed an order with India today for the 2 Cds and the free Addidas bag. After 4 weeks of placing the order i wrote a mail to them on "response@indiatodaybookclub.com" with the details of the order and they reponded to me in 3 days with the delivery schedule. I received the order in the next week itself. I suggest that everyone please write to them about ur order details and hopefully they will help you out.

    india today book club may not reaaly belong to india today .they adapted the credit of that company by adding book club to first two words india today.it seems there is no relation between INDIA TODAY AND INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB. custamers must be beware other wise they will be cheated and it will create mental agony with financial lose and humiliation.
