Calls work phone daily- Hangs up if I don't answer. Always has threats of some bogus problem if I do answer. SPAM/PHISHING SCAM - Do not give information to recorded system nor persons on the line.

    If they want to waste my time, I can waste theirs. I tell them I'm 97 years old (and then I sound like it), After telling them my fake age, I immediately ask them in a very slow and methodical tone, "how did you know I'm 97 years old? You must be one of them palm readers." I then ask them to repeat everything "so I can write all this down. Now, where's that pencil?" After five or six iterations, they finally give up.

    Or I tell them I need to turn something off, or get a pencil, or some excuse to leave the phone. When I do return some time later and they are still on the phone (they usually are), I say in a loud voice, “Honey, did you leave the phone off the hook again?” Then I hang up.

    Another tactic is to engage in conversation a bit, "I'm so glad you called," then I tell them to hold on. I hold the phone away and shout (to no one), "Honey, it's that magazine subscription place. I think we won that sweepstakes thing." When the caller tells me no, and states the nature of his call, say credit card servicing, I yell out, "Honey, do we want a credit card magazine?" They finally hang up in frustration, and typically don't call back. They put me on THEIR "do not call" list as talking to this idiot is a waste of their time. I just laugh.

    This is getting to be just too much fun.
