Closed Memberships and Unauthorized Charges

From the staff at the Alpharetta Georgia location is very unprofessionals and liars. My fiance and I went into the club on June 1, 2012 to cancel both memberships that were originally being deducted from "my" debit card monthly. We were members since December 2011 and went to the club no more than 10times if that. On July 2, 2012 I noticed that they charged my account $11.25 + $72.20. We agreed to sign up for the flex-pay program instead of cancelling the entire membership as advised by Bryon and that I would only be charged $11.25 for both accounts starting July 2012. After reviewing my banking account and speaking with several employees from Mishkat Lightwala, Jerry Giles-Asst. Sales Manager, Corporate Relations and emailing the General Manager - Chris Wiener(whom I never received a follow-up call or email because he had to go to dinner). My account was overdrawn $64. NSF + $72.00. Jerry Giles stated that he was able to phone Chris and discuss the situation with him and that Chris advised him to only refund $61.00 after deducting another $11.25 for my fiance's flex-pay membership.

Bryon completely lied about my fiance and I coming into the facility and only cancelling one account. My rent is due and there is a $125 late fee. I explained this in the email that was sent to Mishkat and Chris not to mention Jerry was able to view the email while I was waiting on him inside the club. I told Jerry to have Chris Weiner give me a call so I can discuss the issue with him personally. Jerry stated that he is a busy and that he would not be returning to the facility after he just told me a that Chris will be back within a hour from 5:00PM 07.03.12. Now, within all of this b/s I told Jerry that if I had to go to small claims court inorder to get the remaining money that was owed to me and additional fee's that they will end up coming out of their pockets. I also mentioned that if he wanted he could pull the video footage from June 1st and he would see when my fiance' and I spoke to Byron and closed the contracts. As I was discussing this with Jerry over the phone I heard him talking in the background. I stopped talking and said "hello, hello", he said "yes" I asked him where you talking in the background and not listening to me. He said yes I was telling them to go ahead and process the $61.00 back to your debit card so that it would post by 8:00AM tomorrow. He said atleast you will have something...WOW so flippin unprofessional. Your company caused my bank account to go into the negative because your employee did not complete his job and now I am being penalized and have to spend unecessary money just to try and retreive what is owe to me by taking Lifetime to court. SAD, SAD, SAD...

As of today 07.04.12  the funds are not in my account and per Jerry Giles he stated that I hung up the phone so he didn't know what to do. My phone went dead and he never bother to call back and leave a message as to what he was doing or what he wanted me to do..THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I TRIED LIFETIME FITNESS AND THE LAST..
