I received a call from 866-463-3021, a Sprint/Nextel marketing effort to sell me additional Sprint services.  I returned the call and told the operator that I considered this a harassing call and to put my name on their DO NOT CALL list.

    If you are not a Sprint/Nextel customer, and your phone number is already on the Do Not Call list, then their telemarketing call was already a violation of law.

    If you were already a customer, then they are required to honor your Do Not Call request in the future.

    Telemarketing calls, even allegedly from companies you are already a customer to, can be a fraud problem if the hired telemarketers, motivated by inflating their commissions, fraudulently sign you up for products or services you never ordered.
