Federal Grant Scam

I happened to answer a call from 598-356-4756, heavily accented English and advised that I had just won $9000.00 in Federal Grant monies because I was a good citizen, paid my bills on time, hadn't filed bankruptcy in the past 6 months, and had no criminal convictions.
He advised me to write down my Grant Approval Code::M777
Gave me a phone number of::202-888-4016
Jerry Palmer came on and advised that I could get this $9000.00 TODAY at Western Union....
All I had to do was send them $200.00 for the application
He also provided an address of:
200 Independence Dr SW
Washington, DC 20201
I advised him that this sounded like a scam and why wouldn't they take the $200.00 fee out of my grant...
I gotta give it to him, he was slick, advised that should I happen to owe taxes that they were unaware of, then the IRS could always intercept the grant monies....
He did hang up very quickly, but u don't get anything for free!!!
No one is going to GIVE you a GRANT unless you apply for one.
