I cannot believe that Travel Guard is making me do this at a time like this. I  purchased travel insurance thinking that it might just be possible that my dear wife would not be able to travel to Duke University to the Robert Tisch Brain Cancer Center for her second visit scheduled for July 18-19, 2010. She had brain cancer. I cancelled the trip on July 3, 2010 and she died on July 29, 2010. Now besides the written letters of the attending physicians at Duke and here in Grand Rapids, MI they also want EVERY record from January 3 until July 14, the day she came home from the hospital to die. I am printing over 150 pages of documentation. They said that the death certificate would not work because she did not miss her flight because of death!!!
They are insensitive and uncompromising and make me angry that others, I'm sure, have suffered at their greedy hands. May they not ever rest in peace.

Hello Mr. Carnevale, I work with Travel Guard. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. I may be able to help. If you email me directly at Travelguard@travelguard.com, I can work on your behalf to see if we can reach a different outcome. I've done the same for others. I look forward to hearing from you, Joe
