Required me to pay to get seat assignments (when I already had assigned seats)!

The agent said that in order for me to sit with my travel partner, I had to pay $15 a person to get seats together. When I called the airline, they said all my seats were already selected and were all seated together! ... ugh never using CheapoAir again.
