We cancelled our Direct TV service on March 1st, 2014 because we were able to get a better deal by bundling our phone, internet, and cable through our phone company, well when I called to cancel my account at Direct TV I was told that I have to pay an early termination fee of $280.00 because when we originally called to see if they could bundle and we were told that they don't offer that service in my area, the representative on the phone told us that they didn't want to lose us as a customer since we were "LOYAL" customers for 6 years, he could give us a free upgrade to an HD DVR box and that it WOULD NOT up our contract for another 2 years, well he LIED !!! Now this morning they took the $280.00 out of my bank account unauthorized even though we called them and are disputing this fee !!! So everyone needs to BEWARE of this scam that they pull !!!!
