We purchased a leather click-clack futon from Art Van in 2014 from Art Van, 15 mile and Gratiot.. We were very pleased with this product until the leather cracked in November 2016.
At first it was one crack. I could not understand why this happened because I had been applying the cleaner and conditioner every 3 months as instructed by the leather kit. I went online and found that I could apply a thin layer of glue to stop it. I noticed that the leather started cracking in several areas  of the futon seat. We went to the store to purchase a power base and found out that the warranty for the futon was still good. We were told to call service and two guys came to the house took photos and sent them to service. After checking with them they said that my warranty did not cover the cracking because it was not reported within
5 days after we noticed the cracks. The person in i talked to in service was VERY RUDE.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said that none was available. I then asked if she could ask the supervisor (him or her) to call me. Again she said that it would be a her because all the employees in that are are females. To date I have not heard from anyone and will go to the store where it was bought and file a complaint. I am now worried about the mattress and power base which I have purchased in good faith. I am hoping that my futon will be repaired since they no longer carry that model in the store. After reading the many complaints I may have to start purchasing my furniture etc, from another furniture company.
