I will never ever purchase from Heartland America again.  Upon purchasing anything, it was continuously offered to me that if I paid $39.95 in addition to order, I would get 10% off and $20 in rebates.  You are told even if you change your mind no questions asked.  Wrong.  That is a lie. Also, another offer of $39.95, reduced shipping/free shipping.  Again, promised if not happy a refund, another lie.  All together I have lost over $150.00 in cash with Heartland. 1.  Never got rebates, 2. Refused to take back faulty product. 3. Both plans have a fine print that actually does not allow a refund.  I never saw this but the $80 was kept and I had to throw away the defective products. 4.  If sent a faulty product and it doesn't work, even if you pay for the extended warranty, the money spent on warranty, kept by company, product is not replaced, given a partial refund on credit card, product cost $168. received $128. on card.  In addition to the two (2) $39.98 plans I signed up, those were also refused back even though the customer service said no matter what your complaint.  I don't have any of their products and spent several hundred dollars.  I purchased mostly electronics.  Also, if you do call and explain you are unhappy with product, you will many times be placed on hold trasnfered around and eventually hung up on.  I am disabled and money is tight.  I am so hurt that this company is allowed to sell bad products and then make up excuses for not receiving your rebates, and other services which you paid and were lied to by the Customer service team.

I also will never buy anything from Heartland America. After purchasing an item from them I received a "Welcome to Value Club America" membership card. I never agreed to join their club, and I never agreed to pay for the membership. I waited 20 minutes for my call to be taken, and was informed that by purchasing an item, I agreed to join. I disagreed and asked to speak to a manager. I spent 35 minutes on the phone to rescind my "membership". This company needs to be investigated for fraud. There is no heart in Heartland America.

Amen! This VALUE CLUB is really a fraud! I was told I would get free shipping. Turned out to be a slight discount off their very inflated shipping rates. Membership also AUTOMATICALLY renews without your permission every year and is charged to your credit card. Their "REBATES" are really nothing more than store credits toward future store purchases that expire. They are still selling old TVs with analog tuners that won't receive anything after next February without notice in violation of federal law. These people are kings of deception & fine print!

Amen!  I am so sick of getting the runaround trying to get a rebate.  Clearly "HeartLESSland" never intended to issue any rebates.

Ordered one item; Heartland tried (unsuccessfully), to charge my Google checkout account for two others items I had...in my cart! After several e-mails complaining to their customer services about this unusual procedure..This company, nevertheless, sent me two items, and asked me to pay for all three items. I refused and told their customer services that I will never pay for the return of items I did not ordered. After countless e-mails, they finally agreed and I will never shop with this company.

When you go to the rebate page they ask for your invoice number , I printed all transactions with them and nowhere is the word invoice used - even in their email it cannot be found "Order Information or Reference Number" that's it.

So it is not possible to complete a rebate claim on their web

I just got shoes and they were a full size too small. That lady said I woudlhave to pay shipping for a return and 20% restocking on a size I didn't order. I asked to escilate the issue to Tier 2 and she refused. All she could say was that I was repsonsible.I work at a CS desk and this is not tollerabel anywhere. This is illegal and needs to be stoped.

I called back and got the same idiot lady as before and she had the gall to hang up on me.
I call back after about a half hour and got a different guy who was I must say an air head, but didn't argue. He claimed he was sending VIA mail (BS) a prepaid label, and that I would get my exchange for the correct size. It would take about a week to 10 days both ways. The company i work for shipped a large office sized Laser copy, fax, printer to Yellow knife Canada from Colorado in 5 days. Shoes & shipping labels must have to go by way of China I guess.

I am no longer a member of the HeartlandAmerica customer program. My complaint is that I have been unsubcribed permanently but the text messages still show up on my cellullarphone screen. It could be a computer error because these messages keep coming up 12:am to 3:am in the morninigs and that is very annoying. Is there anyway you can be able to hack in the the automated computer and stop these harrassing messages from coming in frequently. If you can do this for me it will be most appreciative to know that there is someone educated and also know where the problems of freedom and peace of mind does exist.Thank You

Heartland America charged me for a Value Club for $29.99 on my credit card, which I did not authorize! It's a scam.

I received a catalog from Heartland America about 2 months ago.  There's a coupon at the bottom of the cover page which says $10 off plus free shipping, with promo code and expiration date:07/31/2010.  But when I tried to use the promo code on my order(way before expiration date) the computer didn't give me $10 off and free shipping.  So I called their customer service.  The rep told me there's probably a "misprint" on the catalog, since the promote code (J6C1-1104) doesn't give me $10 off.  So she transferred me to her "super", and the super said pretty much the same thing: there's probably a misprint on the catalog, the promote code simply doesn't give me $10 off or free shipping.  SIGH!

They also charges me a 2.00 misc. fee plus was supposed to get free shipping! then, I got over 400 emails n 1 day fromother companies cause they gave out my email to other scammers!! AND FINALLY, my 10.00 rebates is a HEARTLESSLAND card that gives u 10..00 off future purchases!! They also advertise this item 69.99 compare at 129.00!!! then u can go to other stores and get the same thing for 50.00 and its not even on sale.FIGURE, 69.00 + tax = processing fee = misc. fee = shipping= RIP OFF whoever reads this DO NOT BUY!!!

I ordered a DVD duplicator from a web ad. It was never delivered. When I received my Amex charge, I called Heartland and they said they would ship it out immediately. They stalled and stalled until more than 60 days had passed and now American Express refuses to open a dispute because it is "too late" and Heartland stalled me knowing the deadline would pass. They refuse to allow access to their President's office, will not take calls and demand that I write them. Letters are ignored. Do not buy from this company unless you want to be "taken"!!!
