I bought the sectional from Art Van furniture co. in 11-06, 4-07 had a warranty issue with the corner of the sectional breaking down. Then it was returned, only to go back a few months later because of the chaise part of the sectional started to do the same thing, break down. I called to get it  fixed again, and it was.
Now I am having the same problem again, and am told warranty is over and will have to pay out of pocket.
I paid $2700.00 for a sectional, that has lasted 2yrs, and mind you that I live alone, and have no children, or pets sleeping on this. The sectional wasn't even being used for 6mths while my home was being updated.
Now I am trying to contact the manufacturer. Chateau-D'ax.

I have the email address and also phone number for Chateau D'Ax. The email address is www.chateau-dax.it and the phone number is 336-885-9777. I wouldn't expect too much in the lines of customer service. I called with numerous issues in regards to my leather couch and loveseat and it was a waste of time. The man that I spoke with was rude and anything but helpful. There was not even an "I'm sorry". We will never buy that brand again.
    Good luck

I am considering 2 couches and one is made by Chateau d'ax and the other is from the Franklin Corp. I have seen alot of bad reviews for Chateau d'ax warranty for their products. I am thinking of going with the Franklin Corp leather set instead. Sorry for all the problems you have experienced but atleast you voiced your opinion and saved someone else the same misery.

Everybody with complaints, I am so very sorry that you went through this. I am very truly happy that you posted your complaints, because I saw this Dylan living room sectional in the Macy's sales paper a few weeks ago and I loved it. I called Macy's customer service to find out who is the manufacturer.  I have never head of Chaeau d'ax.  I researched and what's  listed on the web site are nothing but negative things.I have not seen anything positive. I will not be purchasing this brand or any furniture from Macy's.  Macy's quality is becoming very poor and it's not just the furniture, it the kitchen appliances and bedding.  And even the credit card customer service is terrible.

First of all, you are looking on a complaint  sight. You are only going to see complaints. Most people that are happy with their furniture don't take the time to go and tell everone how happy thay are.
As far as Macys furniture I;ve been very happy and I know many people who feel the same way.
The onle reason I'm on here is because I heard of this sight, and had to check it our for myself. I always had any issues resolved in a timely manor. You just have to know how to talk to people in a nice way, and usually they listen and will help you.

Just bought a Chateau D'AX leather sofa and loveseat (recliners) from Macy's. When they were delivered the power cods were missing. They were supposed to be sent separately, but through a comedy of errors were sent to a neighbors house. The [***] neighbor didn't speak much English and kept the package for five days until we figured it out and retrieved it. Meanwhile we complained to Macy's, Neshaminy Mall, PA. Our salesman, BEN, was excellent. He reported the problem and it went all the way to the top. We got many calls from customer service and Macy's until the problem was quickly resolved. A repair guy was sent out from N.Y, with extra parts the day after we reported the problem.  Meanwhile we had gotten the parts from [***] neighbor. Macy's gave us a $50 gift certificate for our trouble.

Most people write on this site with negative comments . Mine is positive. I don't know what the future will hold but I got a 7 year warranty

Avoid this brand. We made the mistake of purchasing a Chateau D/ax six-piece leather sectional from Macy's in Feb. 2011 before reading these reviews. We could have saved ourselves $3,000. The chocolate-brown sectional was wonderful to sit on in the showroom. It was supple yet firm and looked gorgeous. Six months later, it's still beautiful in our home. But it's terrible to sit on. The cushioning is completely blown out. The makers used a low-grade foam, and seats that were once wonderfully supportive now sink like an old beanbag chair. Your back starts to ache after 10 minutes of sitting. The sofa also lacks springs and instead uses "Pirelli webbing," which I understand is rubber straps. Whatever it is, the product has been a huge disappointment. Our particular model was built in Italy, not E. Europe or China as I understand some of CD's sofas are. It's made no difference. I notice Macy's no longer lists the sectional on their website and seems to have stopped selling Chateau D'ax altogether. I'm not surprised. We'd return it but live too far away to make shipping it economically worthwhile.

I never heard of having to ship furniture back to macys. they have a delivery service. and as far as the cushions BLOWING out, that only happens if you are VERY large, and jump on your furniture. Stop crying and take care of your furniture!

It must be bonded or blended leather. I've never seen real leather peal.

They use corrected leather with a dye mix that is painted on which is why it peels off. Same thing is happening on my 2 month old Macy's/ Chateau Dax sectional.
