Tears in Clothing

I put my relatively smaller articles of clothing first and the larger items on the top while loading the laundry machine. Afterwards, a shirt, a few socks, and an undergarment were stuck at the bottom of the laundry. Having to remove a few articles of clothing as gently as possible (which took approximately 20 minutes), just to see that each article of clothing had multiple tears and holes in them was quite upsetting to see—especially when I had just purchased the undergarment for $40 a few weeks ago. I had damages of well over $50 and lost quite a bit of my time today.
