Insurance

I took out travel insurance with the Australian RAA with the sole purpose of being insured in a hire car. When I landed in Dublin airport at approx.5am I went to the Europcar Hire desk and was told loud and clear that  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE was I covered unless I bought another insurance from them. I was told that as I got the car cheap I could afford the extra it would cost!!!  I was stunned and tried to phone the Australian RAA but couldn't get through because of the time difference. I was forced to buy another insurance policy. I have been trying to contact Europcar several times since then but they have continually sent me an incorrect email address.
