Four weeks ago my telephone rang. It was a promotion of a trip won to Orlando Florida's Universal Theme park. I had won this fabulous all expense paid vacation package but would have to pay the flight/taxes. They already had all of my personal information how many credit cards I had and used and asked wich one I would like to use to pay the fees.
I declined I did not give them my credit card information and I certainly did not preauthorize any purchases!
Yet a week ago I opened my Visa Credit card account and there it was a total of 542.89 charged to my card!
I emmediatley called Visa and they gave me the number for Florida's attorney General and they have dealt with so many of these from this same company. With any luck I'm SUPPOSE have my money back within 4-6 weeks which remains to be seen.

    Do NOT wait for the fraudulent company to return your money.  They will just try to wait out the 60 day dispute periods, after which your bank will no longer reverse it.

    This is NOT a "merchant dispute".  It is a FRAUD dispute.

    Immediately contact your bank to dispute fraudulent charges, and close or block the account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit, mailed certified to your bank's dispute address, and mail it within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges to invoke your FRB Reg. E or FCBA dispute rights.

    File fraud complaints with FTC, your state Attorney General, and the U.S. Postal Inspector.  For internet related fraud, also file fraud complaints at www.ic3.gov

    seriously?
    You mean to tell me that you did not give them your information...but they somehow magically stole 542.89 from a card they have no axcess to? If you really believe it was this company...what your saying is they completely and properly guessed your visa card number? and then charged it for an amount that doesent even pertain to this company? ive been  on four trips with them. their packages total 99,289,398,498. i paid my hotel taxes and car taxes to those respected companies directly . so where would you get 542 from?
