Lost my luggage, not professional in handling the case

This was the first time I flew Turkish airline. Prior to booking the flight, I have heard quite a number of good things about the airline, so I was really looking forward to the trip.
I flew from US to korea via istanbul. Trip was nothing out of ordinary, though I would say the air steward was less than polite. When he was serving drinks, the cart bumped into someone, instead of apologizing, he use his full might to just forced the cart through. Anyway, I made it to my destination safely. I waited for my baggage and it was nowhere in sight. I filed a lost baggage form but the customer service rep was unable to tell me when they would be able to track my luggage. They just told me I would be contacted within 24 hours. I was in Korea for a leisure trip, would be traveling within Korea and I did not have a contact number in Korea. I gave them the contact number of my travel agent in Korea and they promised they would call.
They next day, nobody called. My travel agent called, they were not even apologetic, said the daily flight from Istanbul had not landed yet so they did not know if my luggage had been found. Wow, what age it is now? Isn't there a baggage tracking number? I would expect them to scan each piece of baggage at each port and be able to track the baggage using the tracking number. Sounded like they had to search search plane physically to find a luggage. Anyway, no point arguing with them so my agent told them to call her when the plane landed and they agreed. Again, no phone call from them.
The next day, my agent called again, the rep from Turkish Airline gave the same excuse again -- flight had no landed. Story was getting old and I was getting frustrated. They said they would call before end of they day. My travel agent waited till past 11pm still no call with them.
I tried getting customer rep online using their online form, the form asked for phone number and mobile number. I put in my US phone numbers and the online form said invalid numbers. Apparently they are interested in only Turkish customers. I went to another page on their website to try to track the baggege and it was not even working!
It has been 5 days since they lost my baggage and they are not even taking responsibility for it. They totally spoilt my vacation. Never again will I travel Turkish Airline.
