I sent my husband and son off to Great Clips on Leesville Rd. to get their hair cut today. I go online to check my account balance and find the charge for $37!!! I was livid. I asked my husband how much his cut was and he said $18!! My son's cut was $10.
Now, my husband's generosity in tipping $10 was completely uncalled for, but I'll hand it to the stylist, she worked him. He sure did feel he wanted to bless her. After 12 years in the service industry, I understand his need to do this. The stylist "had kids" and hit his soft spot. (Let us not mention we have 3 kids on one salary.)
The point of course is not my husband being generous, but Great Clips on Leesville Rd. charging an absurd $18 for his cut. I looked online. There is not a single Great Clips listing that has $18 listed as the price. I say if a company is going to franchise and allow individual owners to set their own prices, the whole ship is gonna sink. Buyer beware.... especially if you're a generous tipper with a tight wad wife.
