This company has contacted me 3xs in about 2 months telling me I was getting served for court each time regarding a payday loan I took out in 2006 and that I was being charged with check fraud. They also told me there lawyer by the name of Mr. Mcloud was charging me with over 2000 in attorney fees which is ludacris! These people claim to be from NYS. I contacted the bar association and there is no attorney registered or liscenced in New York by that name. I called my local bar association and was referred to an attorney that deals with matters like this and was advised this is illegal and a scam. They are a junk debt buyer looking to scare you into paying debt that has most likely already been paid or out of the statutes. We we're able to locate the address this company was registered under which is 3719 union Rd ste 114 cheektowaga ny 14225. I will be sending a cease and desist letter to them concerning all collection activity and advise you do the same. Also, file a complaint with the better business bureau and federal trade commission. Do not give these people any personal information. They apparently already have several complaints against there company.

    There are numerous complaints pointing to fraudulent debt collectors operating out of the general area af Buffalo NY, including some in Cheektowaga and Amhurst.  Complaints typically report deceptive and abusive collection, pretending to be attorneys, or to be suing, or threatening prosecution for check fraud.  Sounds like this group is using the usual scripts.  It appears to be a common practice in that area, part of the local culture.

    The NY AG has shut down a number of them following consumer complaints of deceptive or abusive collection.  Be sure to file complaints with the NY AG.
