Glass door cracks over and over

I am now on my third glass door for this machine. Was told by the last technician that this is a known defect and that the plastic cannot support the hinge. When asked if I could have a door withought the glass he said Whirlpool does not make one for this model even though they know everyone's is cracking. I will never buy Whirlpool again. This machine should have been recalled years ago. I will not be fixing it again and my next washer will not be Whirlpool and a no frills back to basic washer. One without glass top and hopefully one that doesn't smell too!!! Worst product ever!! Do not buy the Cabrio!!!
