LA FITNESS DENIES CANCELLATION

LA Fitness recently bought Bally's.  I am trying to cancel my membership as I go to another gym entirely now.  When you get on the website you cannot cancel your membership because it doesn't recognize Bally's tag or membership numbers.  You also cannot find a toll free number for corporate's membership services number.  Lastly, when you try to dispute the credit card charge that keeps on coming, LA Fitness say that the member has several months left on its contract, which in my case is totally inaccurate.  Help anyone?  Thanks.

    I am tying to cancel my LA FITNESSaccount and it is totally impossible to do so on line, Why is it that you can freeze your account but cannot cancell it. If you try to cancel it will automatically do a freeze for $10.00 per month. If you want to continue to get the cancellation form it will abort your transaction. I now have to go to the location, get a cancellation form from the site and mail it in. That is totally unexceptable. I will lnever go back there. I have been a member for 11 years..

    I just had a similar thing happen.  I tried to cancel over the web, wouldn't let me.  So I had my friend get a cancellation form, I mailed it 5 months ago and now they send me a past due letter and want dues for 5 months.  They asked if I sent it for return signature, which I tried to do via Fed Ex.  However, they conveniently have a PO Box so fed ex can't get a signature.  Easy cancellation my ass!

    RUN AROUND AND GETTING JERKED AROUND-- I HAVE BEEN BALLYS MEMBER OVER 20 YRS AND ALL AZ CLUBS HAVE BEEN SOLD TO LA FITNESS- TRYING TO CANCEL GO TO CLUB THEY GIVE YOU A FORM TO MAIL IN AND SAY TO SEND IT CERTIFIED MAIL TO A PO BOX WHICH POST OFFICE SAYS CANNOT BE DONE- CALL HQTRS IN CA AND THEY SAY GO TO A CLUB AND THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF IT GO BACK TO CLUB AND THEY SAY MAIL FORM IN - A BUNCH OF SLEAZEBAG USES CAR SALESMAN TACTICS HERE- ###JUST SPOKE WITH MICHAEL NEW JERSEY MEMBERSHIP REP AND HE HELPED ME OVER THE PHONE AND SENT ME A CONFIRMATION VIA EMAIL- THIS PERSON IS THE ONLY HELPFUL LA FITNESS EMPLOYEE THAT I HAVE DEALT WITH  - ATTA BOY MICHAEL A

    THE USELESS GIRLS/PEOPLE WHO WORKED THE TRANSITION OVER BALLYS IN MESA DEC 1 AND CLOSED IT DEC 8  AND DURING THIS TIME CLOSED IT EARLY W/O NOTICE AND WERE TOO BUSY TO ANSWER EXISTING BALLYS MEMBERS QUESTIONS- TOO BUSY YACKING ON CELL PHONES AND TOLD ME TO "CHECK WEBSITE" NEED A LESSON IN CUSTOMER RELATIONS- WHAT A JOKE--AND WHOEVER APPOINTED THESE INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES NEEDS TO CLEAN TOILETS

    i agree  we had the same issues with la fitness people at mesa club  they were acting like they were doing you a favor to answer your questions about taking over gym and closing it and directing you to a club on stapley and university La Fitness a bunch of punks who think they are gods gift of fitness

    I have a metropolitian wide membership from Ballys meaning I can use any facility in the metro area of DC, MD, & Va, and LA Fi'stness's recent acquisition of Ballys has resulted in them alleging that my metro wide membership is no longer applicable; There's been no notice of any type of such a change, yet one location informs me I still do have a metro wide membership, and another claims I do not;  they have yet to provide a copy of the alleged agreement I signed agreeing to same, AND it's significant that I would never agree to such, re I live in one local, work in another local, and often run errands in another, so I find metro wide convenient; They have delayed and put off the thus far providing same on three separate occasions; I intend to file all necessary written complaints with the Better Business Bureau's, Consumer Protection Agencies, Attorney General Offices, etc, as I feel such unethical statements and allegations by a business surely is illegal and of concern to such agencies.  I suggest you do the same, as the customer service thus far has been very lacking.

    Bally's employees and mgmt could NOT manage a HOT DOG CART - One person tells you your membership is fine, and the next person says "who told you that?"  They are all on a different page, and no one has a clue who's in charge, or where you stand as far as membership status,or eligibility- VERY UNPROFESSIONAL UNEDUCATED USELESS FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES TO THE SAY THE LEAST - THEY FABRICATE POLICIES AS THEY ARE SPEAKING TO YOU, AND THEN ASK WHATEVER BOZO IS IN CHARGE AT THE TIME AND COME BACK TO YOU AND CHANGE THEIR POLICY- WHAT A WASTE OF TIME-  STAY AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS AND JOIN ANY OTHER GYM

    I am have been a premiere Bally member for 13 years. I went to the Rockville location and the gym is really dirty. I will never step foot in that gym again.  And so, I decided to go to an original LA Fitness. Clean, but a 30 minute drive from my home. overcrowded, and poor group exercise classes. Any complaints about just wanting to have a good workout falls on deaf ears.  I am definitely going to cancel. After all, I never agreed to do business with LA Fitness and all of their game playing. see ya!

    Management is amazing at this facility. Love it. If you need anything go see Griffin. He was a great help!! gym gets 5 stars!
