I lodged a complaint of Whirlpool washing machine on 16-12-12 and complaint was registered vide SR No. HR1212003814. The Service Engineer spoke to me on my mobile and his attitude & behavior was not cordial. On 17-12-12, I received an SMS that complaint is closed because customer refuses to pay, whereas it was not the case.
Again I lodged a complaint on 19-12-12 which was registered vide SR No. HR1212004573. I again got a SMS on 19-12-12 that complaint is closed because customer refuses to pay. Nobody contacted this time and I fail to understand why they are sending such SMS.
I contacted the service center and reported the matter but they replied that complaint this time is not closed and it is still open.
The Service Engineer visited the premises on 19-12-12 and checked the washing machine and traced out problem in Thermostat. He said the part is not available with him and within two days he will come again with new part and will replace the damaged part. The tentative cost of part will be Rs.300.00 and cost of service charges will be Rs.225.00 which we approved and he promised to come back within two days with new part.
The service engineer didn’t turn up and accordingly I called the service center again & again on 24-12-12, 25-12-12, 26-12-12, 27-12-12, 28-12-12 and every time they said part is not available and it will be available very soon and your machine will be attended within next 24 hours.
Yesterday, I sent a mail and asked the call center that if complaint is not rectified within a day then I will file a case in consumer court for deficiency of service, harassment, mental agony and you will be liable to bear all the expenses. Instead of acting on the complaint and rectifying the problem, I received a SMS on 29-12-12 that complaint is closed because customer refuses to pay.
I contacted the call center on 29-12-12 and they said your complaint is closed if you are interested then we can lodge your new complaint and they lodged my complaint vide SR No.HR1212006986.
I am really fed up by the attitude of Whirlpool Service Center and their services.
I bought a refrigerator of Whirlpool and its compressor was down within warranty period and they replaced it and charged around Rs.1600.00 for Gas & Service charges but till date it is not giving satisfactory performance and no one is bothered to rectify it. Now I am looking forward to sell it and buy new LG refrigerator in its place.
The washing machine is also not working for the last 13 long days and my wife has to wash the clothes with hand in the shivering cold days.
The attitude of whirlpool service center & engineer is not tolerable. I request all of you not to buy any Whirlpool product due to poor workmanship, attitude and poor after sales service. They haven’t only wasted my valuable time & energy but also misguided and adopted unfair practices in dealing a customer.
