They were able to convince me to order a magazine, BUT i am very sure that they told me in case i want to cancel my account, all i have to do is call them and they will cancel it. They have called me to collect money and to set up a settlement to pay it, I told her that i want to cancel my order, she's telling me that I cannot do that anymore, i have already exceeded the cancellation period and that she will give me a discount. She wants me to pay her $793.44!!!! I have paid they $264.48 since January. This lady named Dori has been calling me almost twice a day cause my March payment didnt go through. Well i dont want this magazines anymore. I have other things to worry about and they wont let me cancel. What will they do if i dont pay them anymore? stahl_02@yahoo.com is my email. Please someone let me know what i can do. Thanks!

You are being conned by a magazine subscription "shakedown" racket.

They will tell you whatever it takes to get your "order", making the "deal" sound real good and better than the publisher, then they will change this now "uncancellable contract" (documented by nothing but whatever doctored recordings they make) and fraudulently claim that is what you "agreed" to.

They will tell you whatever it takes to keep stealing your money.  They will keep telling you you "agreed" to various charges, years of magazines, other subscriptions you never heard of, and it will keep going for the rest of your life, until you stop it.

They said you could cancel, you called and cancelled, so the rest is just fraud and extortion.

They particularly like preying on women, since they are legally and financially less sophisticated, and easier to scare and extort.

Stop paying them and file fraud complaints.  In addition, contact your bank to dispute their fraudulent charges, and close the account or block the card number to prevent continuing fraud.

As long as you keep feeding "sharks", they will keep coming back for more.

Contact FTC and your state Attorney General.
Also file fraud complaints at www.ic3.gov, and with BBB.
