Why, are these companies allowed to harass neighbors they find in phone books? Not only that I'm on the Do Not Call List. which means absolutely nothing to attorney generals!!!

    Some AGs enforce it.  If your AG isn't responsive to consumer complaints, vote in a more responsive one.

    If they are harassing neighbors, and illegally disclosing the alleged debt to embarass the victim, they may be faking the debt as well.

    Tell the to cease calling, notify them in writing, certified, and if they keep harassing you, sue them for violating FDCPA and TCPA.
