these people whoever they sre start calling me @ 8:am and call nonstop since there is never anyone on the other end I now just pick up and hang up immediately. But they just call right back anyway. I dont have any debt so I dont know who these people are.

    Have you considered doing the following : pick up the phone, put it down gently and let them spend their money talking. When they realise that you're not responding, they'll give up !

    you should put you name on that opt out list thing where telemarketers and such are forbidden to call you by law, otherwise they can get sued... its pretty sweet!

    Telemarketers can call from 8am-9pm.
    The call is usually placed on an autodialer(That means it automatically calls your house). Once you are on the line, it then sends the call to the phone agent but by that time you have probably already disconnected the call thinking no one was on the line.

    Try to stay on the line next time and wait to speak with the rep. Once you're speaking with a live agent then you can ask them to take your number off of their calling lists.

    Or you can look into signing up on the Do Not Call registery, but keep in mind the DNC does allow some exemptions and you may still get some unwanted calls.
