Do not buy from this company. LightGreyDesign was previously known as Urbanhom. They will take your money and run.
Our nightmare started two years ago (and has not yet ended) when we purchased an Outdoor Lounge Set we paid extra for an ottoman and custom covers for ea. pc. of furniture. Set arrives four months later, wrong color wicker, wrong color fabric, no ottoman, no custom covers. The Lounge Set was well manufactured, good quality. Shane McLaughlin President/Owner agreed the order was incorrect and placed a re-order. He assured us the ottoman and custom covers would be included with the re-order. He also gave us a credit of $585 for the mixup.
Our re-order took six months to arrive. This new set was complete junk! Dimensions were much smaller than those posted on the web site, wicker was threaded black not flat black, cushion fabric was cheap, wrinkled. Foam cushions were soft and mushy, once you sat in them you sank to the bottom. The chairs wobbled when you sat down. Even the screw in levelers on the chairs didn't help. Received ottoman, no custom covers. Shane informs us he switched manufacturers. I now understand how he was able to give us a credit, this set was very cheaply manufactured compared to the original order.
Shane once again apologized and placed a third re-order. Shane's exact words" hopefully the third time is a charm". After numerous phone calls e-mails (they rarely if ever get back to you)and lie after lie, furniture is leaving the manufacturer, in California, at customs. Shane sends an e-mail stating "They also sold some of the sets including yours to other customers". "All we can do is express our sincere apologies". That was the last we heard from him.
Shane now claims on his web site that they have had problems in the past but that has now been corrected. If that were true, then why are many of the complaints with the BBB of MN & ND as recent as Apr, May, June of 2011. His company has an F rating with 35 complaints so far, many of the complaints he didn't even bother to respond.
I have kept all correspondance and photos from his original web site. I have contacted the BBB of MN & ND, MN AG, and MI AG. In the process of filing with FBI and FTC. Will also contact news media in the area that deal with "scams".
Do not throw your money away. There are many reputable companies that would be glad to have your business.
