Dana Maria Dipnarine/Jason James
Country: Trinidad and Tobago
We the passengers Dana Maria Dipnarine and Jason James bought two(2) tickets from our travel agent CRYSTAL TOURS to travel to Panama with COPA AIRLINES for business/pleasure and encounter the worse experience in our lives. We arrived at the Piarco International Airport at 3pm to check in at the counter on the day of our flight, which was on the of 12th November,2012. We give the clerk at the counter our passports and tickets and she checked us in and handed us our documents back and our boarding pass and told us to be upstairs by 4:30pm,we went upstairs boarded the flight which took 2hrs and 51mins to panama. On arriving to the immigration officer we presented him our passports and documents, only to be told that our passports suppose to have a validity of three(3) months or more to enter into Panama. Without any further explainations they immediately took us to a blocked off area underneath two stairway with some seats inside, surrounded by officers and told us to sit there and wait. Two(2) hours after an officer came to us and try to explain to us the situation but ofcourse we did not understand the spanish language. It was so humiliating people was looking at us as if we we caught transporting something illegal and no one from COPA AIRLINES came to comfort or expalin to us in English what the hell was going on. About five(5) hours after we realised that they were sending us back to Trinidad, we was so cold and freezing,we tried to explain to one of the officer to help us get our suit case,he took us to COPA AIRLINES counter and only to realised that our baggage was getting better treatment than we,they had it in a nice secured bonding area and we the passengers was out in the cold suffering like dogs not even a blanket or a pillow was given to us,we had was to signed out our baggage and was escorted back by security  while other passengers was looking at us with scorn like if we did something wrong,we felt sick to our stomach, we had was to use our pants and shirts to cover with. I Dana Dipnarine was in my monthly periods and only had 3 pads thinking that I would of buy more in panama but that never happen and I guess you all will figure out the uncomfortable situation that would of have me in, and every time I had to go to the washroom which was alot an officer had was to accompany me there and I had to wait until there was an available officer to take me to the washroom which sometimes took a long while. They allowed my Fiance to go upstairs to get stuff to eat and drink which also took a while to get the permission to go ! THANKGOD ! . the following day which was on the 13th of November they came for us with our passports and boarding pass and escorted us upstairs to the gate, do you know what embarassment that was to know everyone was looking at us even some of our fellow citizen who were on the same flight. The officer handed the flight attendant our passports and my Fiance got vex and tried to take our passports but he only got his one and we went on the plane. No explainations from COPA AIRLINES thus far, we was so sicken by the situation, arrived in Trinidad and while departing the plane a flight attendant handed another person my passport who I believe is another representative of COPA AIRLINES and she handed me it and told us to go ahead. On coming of the plane the gate where we boarded at we saw a COPA counter and inquired about the situation and we spoke to Mrs Lynette who told us to come into the copa officer the folllowing day and do you know while speaking to Mrs Lynette that same said person who handed  me my passport and told me to go ahead was a copa representative and didnt even offer an explaination or any sort of comfort,by the counter we told her that we will have to talk with our lawyer if copa do not compensate us and she told us to go ahead and Mrs Lynette told us to come in the following day and talk with some in higher authorities. The next day we arrive at the copa office in Piarco International Airport and explained the situation to a copa airline supervisor and he told us Copa will compensate us but we need to go up on the website which he give us and make a complain, which is the following. The compensation we need is a first class ticket and hotel to panama because we have already paid for our hotel and transport to an back from the airport. ??????? Why it is that in Trinidad at the Piarco International Airport the Copa rep did not stop us knowing the requirements to enter there country??????????????????????????????????????????????????? Looking forward a favourable response because we got loads of unfinished business awaiting us in panama, because we are at a lost right now with our goods that awaits us in panama. Contact : ddipnarine@yahoo.com/315-5939/317-1675, I have all my documents scan, tickets, boarding pass, hotel reservations and passports, send me an email address to send you all the documents. We also have pictures and video clips of the condition we was in.

I cannot believe what I have had to do get a refund on a fully refundable tkt as I am also a priority customer .  I have now make  5 phone calls and 2 emails and have not gotten any where.
I am now sick to my stomach.  I am so stress out and in tears over a refund.

I called this morning to change a refundable ticket.  I was told I had to first cancel the TKT, which they it did, then email refund@copaair.com which I did.  I was then emailed a formed letter back telling me to go to the website and fill out the form.  Which I try to do.  After not being able to press continue to finish the form, I called back.  The person on the phone that I could not get his name then said it was my computer (my browser)  and it works fine.  After the 4th call to the priority desk, I am told to email again.  I did, and got the same formed email telling me to fill out the form that I cannot fill out because copa already canceled my reservation .  The another call back and I am told the form will not fill out on the web, because the ticket has been cancelled. NOW, instead of getting help and I told to contact surervisorescallcenter@cc.corp  (told to me by Robert who now I have a name.)

I am tired of the hours I have spent  with the run around I am getting with COPA.  PLease tell me what you are going to do to fix this and get my refund back.  My first call was made around 10:00 AM this morning and it is now almost 1:00PM and I am still trying to get this taken care of.  That is 3 hours of my time and getting no where with COPA.
