This is a call trying to get you to sign up for some credit card service. They are irritating & try to use scare tactics.

These people have bothered me for years and I have prefect credit.   You can't get them to stop, and if you ask to be removed they step up the calling.   They change their numbers on caller ID, and even get "buddies" to phone and harass you.   Blocking them does no good.   It is a criminal action what they do to people.  Don't answer if you recognize the number or place.

I received a telephone call on July 19, 2013 at 12:11PM from (602) 812-8824 and Caller ID listed the number as:  Cell Phone Az.  I answered and a recorded message of a lady said that they were Cardmember Services and that they had contacted me several times but this would be the last call.  She did say that I could lower my interest rate and to press #1.  After pressing #1 a real life man answered and was very arrogant sounding.  I asked well I do not even know what Company you are from.  He said Visa or MasterCard and that I would need to owe at least $ 3,000.00 in order to qualify.  He then said how much do you owe.  I said to him if you called me you should know how much I owe.  He promptly hung up on me.  I then telephoned the cell number that they called me from and it said that the number does not accept incoming calls.  I called a Company that I had on file and they said they would never do anything like that.  He suggested that since I had the cell phone number that I would need to call the Sheriff's Dept.  I have called the Sheriff's Dept and spoke with a Detective.  I was told that the telephone call was a Scam.  I outsmarted the Scammer.  If you will look on Google and enter the telephone # lots of people have received similar calls.  Beware that this can happen to you.

started out automated: They called, started out as a 'warning' that they have sent several notices of 'over due' credit card bills, then goes into spiel about how pressing #1 they can lower all my credit card debts. I pressed one and got a male in Arizona, and I told him false advertising is against the law, he hung up on me.
