A & E is a fraud, liars and incompetent.

A & E repairs is a fraud, incompetent, and an embarrasment to all legitimate repair
services anywhere. GE dishwasher made a humming noise hours after wash cycle
was done. GE told us to call A&E for warranty repair.
6 appointments, two of which were missed, 6 different repair clowns. On hearing
the complaint and opening the dishwasher door, the 1st repair guy called his office.
He didn't know anything about dish washers. It wasn't his area of expertise. He
later admitted to being on the phone to Sears repair center. Once they collectively
misdiagnosed, they ordered the wrong part and the so-called 2nd service
professional broke the push button membrane which had to be replaced. When the
3rd wrong part was installed and the membrane replaced, the installation work
leaked and damaged the display. When I called the company, they had no record of
my calls, appointments, service or anything else except my credit card, which they
continuously charged. They also charged full boat for the parts and labor that were
warranty despite the fact that it is stated right on the receipt "No charge for
warranty parts or labor". Thanks to a great credit card company, all of the billing
was reversed and a credit card warning sent to the company and their card
processor. A seventh repair Bozo showed up unannounced and was told .... well, he
was told.
Found out that this wreck of an appliance disrepair company, A&E, is owned by
Sears (rumor?) and has a very bad reputation. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Most legitimate local service companies send out people who can read, understand
what an appliance is for, and have training from factory reps. Look them up in the
yellow pages, read the ads, see the logos and maybe look them up on Angie's or
Craig's list. Do not take the recommendations of GE, Maytag, LG or any of the
others who recommend A&E. We have since called a local appliance dealer who
made sure GE took care of the correct parts including the ones A&E damaged, took
care of the labor except for a small service call charge, and had a knowledgable
service tech do the work. GE has yet to respond to our complaint. A&E wants to
take us to collections over the bill. I have filed in small claims court for my out-of-
pocket expenses. I don't expect anything.
